General information

 

The Liria Palace in Madrid temporarily closed for tourist visits due to the COVID-19 health crisis, on March 13.

To reopen, the measures included in article 11 of the Royal Decree declaring a state of alarm have been put into practice and in compliance with the Guidelines and Recommendations for Museums and Heritage Sites prepared by the ICTE (Institute for Spanish Tourist Quality). , Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism), and BOE 138 of May 16, 2020.

A Covid-Safe Management Committee is created that meets fortnightly to control and analyze the sufficiency of the measures adopted in relation to the evolution of the pandemic.

The Palacio de Liria is preparing to receive visitors with all the necessary health and hygiene guarantees that contribute to the health of citizens. For this reason, in compliance with the regulations and the recommendations issued by the competent authorities on the matter, it has established a rigorous protocol.

Own responsibility. Measures for our staff:
  • Training for all Palace staff on Covid-Safe prevention and health, designed in our Contingency Plan ( downloadable pdf here )

  • Daily routine de cleaning and disinfection of each workstation complemented with general cleaning

  • Specific information posters for employees  con  basic protection measures (hand washing, use of mask and gloves)

  • The customer service staff has passed the COVID-19 detection tests with a negative result through rapid tests prior to reincorporation

  • Each stall has at its disposal hydroalcoholic gel for frequent hand washing

  • All staff measure their temperature when entering the Palace and follow up on symptoms

  • We use PPE equipment, consisting of approved masks and gloves.

  • An intercom has been installed at the box office for less contact between interlocutors

  • Controlled shifts to keep the safety distance

 
Responsibility towards others. Measures for visitors:
  • If you have been in contact with a positive or if you present any of these symptoms: general malaise, fever, dry cough or difficulty breathing, please stay home and call 900 102 112 as a precaution

  • The cleaning, disinfection and ventilation of public rooms and toilets have been reinforced, following the Health regulations

  • Automatic hydroalcoholic gel dispenser in la access door and hand cleaning products in the toilets

  • Mandatory use of mask and recommended use of gloves

  • Temperature taking is authorized when entering the Palace

  • Maintenance of the safety distance of 2 meters for access and garden between people from different "coexistence groups". In rooms where this is not possible, at least 1 meter distance will be maintained and protective measures and equipment will be guaranteed, maintaining the mandatory use of masks, thus respecting Health regulations.

  • It is mandatory to respect the signs on the floors of each room during the visit, as well as to follow the guidelines of the Palace staff

  • Recommendation to buy tickets online in advance en  www.palaciodeliria.com  or at the box office by paying with a bank card to minimize contact

PHASE 3

  • The capacity is reduced to 15 people per group, so strict compliance with the time slots is requested.

  • Opening hours for half-day tourist visits, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • The use of each visitor's own headphones is recommended, if not available, they are distributed free of charge for single use

  • The left-luggage service is temporarily suspended, until it is determined that it is convenient for the prevention and safety of the visitor.

 

 

END OF THE STATE OF ALARM

  • A staggered incorporation of the rest of the workers will be organized

  • Hours will be extended to full-time when deemed necessary.

  • Capacity is maintained until it is estimated that it can be fully restored when it is safe for the visitor

  • In any case, any reinstatement will require compliance with the worker protection measures.
