Considering the largest private historic gardens in Madrid, the exterior of the Palacio de Liria is an oasis of serenity where Spanish history and avant-garde European landscape converge. This monumental space has been shaped over the centuries by the vision of the Dukes of Alba and the mastery of such important figures as Ventura Rodriguez And the French landscape designer Jean-Claude Nicolas Forestier.
The complex is divided into two spaces with complementary artistic identities:
Walking through these gardens is also discovering unique corners of the Casa de Alba family memory. Today, thanks to the conservation work of the Casa de Alba Foundation, these gardens open their doors to share with the public a botanical and sculptural heritage that has remained a secret kept in the heart of Madrid for more than two centuries.
The guided tour of the gardens lasts approximately 45 minutes, while the combined experience that includes the interior of the palace lasts 90 minutes in total.
The tours take place from Tuesday to Sunday with only two passes (10:00 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.), always starting with the garden area.
The rate for visiting the gardens ranges from 9€ to 10€, while the combined ticket ranges from 20€ to 27€ depending on the day of the week and the type of bus.
The Liria Palace is the official residence of the Casa de Alba and contains one of the most important private historical-artistic collections in the world.
